FENSA and Building Regulations
Any household replacing their windows or doors must comply with the Building Regulations. These regulations ensure energy efficiency, safety and means of escape.
Householders can fulfil their obligations by either registering their installation with the local authority Building Control Department or by employing an installer that is registered with FENSA (or an equivalent organisation). As a FENSA registered business, CWM Cirencester Ltd is committed to ensuring all products which we supply and install comply with the relevant regulations.
On completion of your installation, we will register your replacement windows and doors with FENSA and you will receive a certificate directly from FENSA 4 – 6 weeks later. This is evidence that the work carried meets regulations and this evidence will be needed when you come to sell your home.
If your windows and doors are part of a new build or extension, the registration will be covered by the building control arrangements for the new buildl.
